Here, at Rogue Wave Productions, l.l.c., we take your privacy and user interface seriously. We hope you enjoy your visit in Moab and get the most from your app! Thank you!
Moab, Utah April 28, 2014- Rogue Wave Productions, l.l.c. visits Moab, Utah during the annual car show.
Last Friday, company founder, Glenn Smith arrived in the Moab area to promote the Moab Local Guide app for iPhone. "I forgot this was auto show weekend, this is great!" Smith said. "This is a fantastic opportunity to meet with tourist and observe mobile behavior." Glenn also shook hands and spoke with several Moab business owners to promote the app's geo fencing and available ad space.
Partnering with GeoMoby, located in Perth, Australia, Rogue Wave Productions and GeoMoby have leveraged development into leading edge mobile marketing with an extremely robust context-aware application integration. "The idea is to offer highly targeted ads from participating Moab businesses to active mobile device users visiting Moab, Utah." said, Smith. "The adoption rate is expected to be on target with the positive results we are reading and hearing about around the globe." More app users are enjoying targeted offers that business owners are sending them as statistics show definite user satisfaction. The trend is expected to increase across the board according to current indications.
Geo fencing is fairly new and not as popular in the United States as it is in Europe and Asia. Concerns about privacy aka market creep and utilizing an App that is full of spam is not attractive to American users. The Moab Local Guide has the ability to turn the GeoMoby service on or off at any time. Users are encouraged to turn the service on when they are on holiday or vacationing in Moab. "Europeans frequently visit Moab and we wanted to allow these users a chance to receive special offers from local tour guides, restaurants and retailers while they are in Moab." Smith, said. "With the ability to turn the service on or off at anytime while limiting the number of ads we place, we hope to help our users and Moab businesses to connect in ways that are mutually beneficial". Orders for ad placement can be fulfilled emailing: email@example.com. Ad space is on a first-come, first serve basis.
The Moab Local Guide mobile app for iPhone is available in the German, Netherlands, Italian, French, Spanish, British Isle, North American and Pacific Rim app stores. Store listings are written in the native languages of each country to help users understand the app and its features. According to statistics observed from App Annie, a mobile application performance tracking entity, most of the current 1,000 plus users are from the U.S. and Europe. The app continues to grow its user base as recent promotions have proven to be favorable.
Park City, April 21, 2014- The Moab Local Guide, version 2.0 mobile app for iPhone, is ready to download.
Improved navigation, added features and larger font are all upgrades based upon recent user feedback. It is now possible to tap back to main menu items without exiting the app and most of the phone numbers and email addresses are tappable to save time and effort. We hope these changes and others makes the user interface more enjoyable and relevant.
One of the most important new features on the app is the Geo Moby button. Here's why. It is very important to turn off the location services for Moab Local Guide app while the user is not in Moab, Utah. You can do this by going to your settings menu on the home screen of your device, find "privacy" and from that menu look for "location services". Tap that button and it will show all the apps that are activly running location services. Scroll down to Moab Local Guide and slide the green button until it turns gray or white (depending on your device model). This action will save your battery while not using the app in its full capacity.
When a user is in the Moab area or planning a visit, it is highly desirable to turn the location services back on by doing the reverse order of the instructions contained in the last paragraph. Location services allows the app to track your position so you can use the map functions inside the app and you will be notified of local offers as soon as you're near a participating businesses. For example, if you were within 30 meters or close to 100 feet of a Moab Pub, you might get a notification reading; "two for one burger night, see details!" This is just one of the many offers that are planned for the user's convenience and enjoyment.
The image below is a screen shot of the GeoMoby service page. Say you're in Moab and you turn your location services back on while you're on Main Street, Moab, Utah. Next, you want to tap the GeoMoby button from the main menu of your app and then tap the black "Start Service" button as pictured below. This action will initiate a location data search for participating businesses that are near you. The distances are going to be set fairly close to each participating business so users will not get a barrage of messages to sort through.
Once the user retrieves the message, there will be a call to action to claim the Moab Local Deal. Once the message is read, it won't keep popping every minute. Take the message to the business and claim the discount or special offer! When you leave Moab, stop the service and remember to turn your location services off again.
We, at Rogue Wave Productions, l.l.c. respect your privacy and want you to be in charge of your messaging. We also want you to enjoy special offers that Moab businesses want to offer you through your app. We thank you so much for all the downloads and wonderful feedback.
What better way to step into the new year by reflecting upon so many milestone achievements over the past 12 months with an eye towards a highly compelling future?
It's official! It has been one year in business for Rogue Wave Productions, l.l.c. and there are so many things to be grateful about. First things first though, we finished 2013 with the launching of our second client app, Wild Women Series for IOS.
The Wild Women Series App is a collaborative effort between intuitive arts professional, Suzanne Wagner and Rogue Wave Productions, l.l.c. and the results are tremendous. This is what happens when you bridge technology, creativity and skill with real-world solutions while focusing on a specialized niche; women who are deeply spiritual and interested in expanding their consciousness.
Taking on a project such as the Wild Women Series has proven to us that we can be a potent participant in the "re-imagination" process that is the corner-stone premise in app development on every level. What this entails is creating a relationship between our clients, their needs and the audience they want to reach. From this vantage point, we create the app pipeline to that audience and so far, it works! People are interested in the content our client offers and she can reach them through interaction rather than the one-way channel model so prevalent in most traditional marketing and advertising models.
The apps we create for our small business associates are built on the foundation of relationship. In a seller beware market, this is a critical feature. It's better to offer information, create social interaction and cater to specific needs by offering goods and services in a subtle manner. The apps we create do just that! This is the future of marketing and the future is now! It's called, Mobile Marketing and our company is on the leading edge of this rapidly expanding trend. Why? Because, we're doing it!
The past year is gone and this article could talk about the trials and tribulations of the first year of a small business but how does this serve you, the reader? What's important is Rogue Wave Productions remains vigilant of the infinite opportunities that exist in the digital space. What matters is we keep our client's needs on the forefront of our approach to a rapidly changing industry associated with mobile devices and the Internet. What matters is we listen and learn and run with the tide.
We thank all the people who continue to download our apps and hire us for their Internet Marketing and Mobile Marketing needs. We thank all the technical and moral support that continues to flow in our direction on a daily basis. Most especially, we would like to thank the vision and motivation of Chad Mureta, owner of the App Empire. We also thank the Buzztouch Community for all it's technical know-how and terrific support. Thank you to App'd Mobile and Amish Shaw and the magic of that community! Thank you, John Swartz, for your playful creative genius and helpful offerings! Thank you, Game Salad for your robust platform for mobile gaming creation! Thank you, to so many companies, software and the people who make it all happen!
Thank you for a fantastic first year and a very clear and exciting future ahead!
